Effects of the Kuroshio on internal tides in the Luzon Strait: A model study

Internal tides have a great impact on the meridional overturning circulation and climate variability through contributing to diapycnal mixing. The Luzon Strait (LS) is one of most important sites internal tide generation in global ocean. In this study, we evaluate effect Kuroshio M2 K1 both summer winter seasons South China Sea (SCS), particularly within LS. High-resolution ocean numerical simulations with Current were compared those without. We found that has negligible site tides.
